The Girl Behind the Lens!

Welcome to Amy Symes Photography, a blog showcasing recent work to both current and potential clients!

A little bit about me...

I am a wife and mother of a beautiful baby girl, passionate about art, culture, travel and good food (though, it couldn't hurt if I spent more time in the kitchen!) and of course, photography!

I'm a hopeless romantic with an eye for detail and a great desire to capture those tender, candid moments shared between couples on their wedding day, expectant parents anticipating the arrival of a special someone and families spending precious time together. My ultimate goal is to share your love stories through photography.

Have a look around! Here on the blog you'll find my most recent work or head over to my website/ online portfolio to check out the galleries. Additonally, if you are a bride or couple planning a wedding, be inspired by fresh ideas and real weddings on Wedding Envy .  There you will also find local vendors and other resources!

Think we're a good fit?  Please contact me using the blog or website submission form or at symes (dot) amy (at) gmail (dot) com   (written this way to prevent spammers!)

If you'd like to receive email notifications when I've added a new post,  enter your email under the "subscribe" tab!  I proimse, you won't be disappointed!

Looking forward to working with you!

Sincerely,

Amy

Hailey and Pierre ♥ Love session

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to photograph my fellow colleague and friend, Hailey and her boyfriend, Pierre.  Hailey had been talking to me one day about how Pierre had wanted to have some photos done together at Walmart …fortunately, they decided against Walmart and went with me!  They both seemed more than thrilled with the outcome of the photos and allowed me to share a few of them here with you.

I’ll start with this one because it’s one my favourites! There’s just something about a plain, stone wall that makes such an effective backdrop.  They’re totally cute, right!

Wasn’t sure how these shots would look, but they ended up being looking great!  The two of them were definitely having fun and it shows in the photos!

Thank you Hailey and Pierre…sorry Walmart! ;P
